On March 10, our CEO Maja Magnusson had the honor of joining an inspiring panel at the KI Women’s March event, organized by the Business Committee at CHaSE Stockholm. This event brought together outstanding female leaders in health care and MedTech to discuss leadership, innovation, and the importance of inclusivity in shaping the future of the industry.
Maja shared the stage with incredible professionals, including Maria Lisa Knudsen, PhD (AAX Biotech), Suzy Jones (AstraZeneca), Helena Strigård (Ventures Accelerated), Stephanie Robertson (Stratipath), and Kylie Foo Thams (SmartCella Solutions). The panel was expertly moderated by Patrik Blomquist, Business Coach at KI Innovations AB, who guided a thoughtful discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing women in these dynamic fields.
For Maja, this event was an opportunity to share her perspective on leadership - not just in theory but from her own journey. She emphasized that navigating uncertainty is a key skill and that diverse leadership is essential for a truly inclusive society. She reflected on the different paths that present themselves in a career and how taking chances is often the key to reaching leadership positions.
“You build business by building relationships, you learn from others, and therefore I’m happy to also share my journey and learnings to inspire others.”
She also highlighted the importance of having confidence in one’s own abilities while actively making space for oneself in leadership. However, she emphasized that true leadership isn’t about knowing everything. It’s about being open to learning, asking thoughtful questions, and creating an environment where others feel heard.
“Taking place doesn’t mean taking over. Some of the best leaders I’ve met are the ones who not only ask the right questions but also genuinely listen, creating room for collaboration and shared success.”
It was a night of meaningful conversations and valuable networking, with an audience filled with students, entrepreneurs, and professionals eager to drive change in the industry. We extend our gratitude to CHaSE Stockholm’s Business Committee for organizing such an impactful event and to all fellow panelists for their insights and contributions.
