As Care to Translate marks its sixth anniversary, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our journey so far.

We started off with a simple goal: to connect better with patients. We wanted to make sure that their needs are understood and help them understand the healthcare staff. That simple desire to improve communication laid the groundwork for what would become Care to Translate.
Starting out as a non-profit, we soon realized that we needed to find a more sustainable path. Transitioning into a company wasn't an easy decision, but it allowed us to grow faster and tackle the challenges of healthcare translation with more resources at hand. Today, we are thrilled to re-engage with the non-profit community, offering our product for free to support others in their daily work.
Joris Van Hamme, Medical Project Coordinator at Médecins du Monde Belgique, says:
“For our beneficiaries, the language barrier is an important reason for not being able to access their right to quality health care. With this partnership, we will have access to an extra tool to improve communication with our beneficiaries in moments when we aren't able to organize translators or intercultural mediators.”
When starting a company you always face many challenges: from juggling priorities to dealing with limited resources. But with careful planning, steadfast determination, and amazing support from our team, investors, advisors and all users and customers, we managed to push through.
Thank you for believing in us, it means the world!
